My Will

Praise be to Allah and may Allah's peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. To proceed:

I am (................................................) My ID Number:

This is my will, while in a valid state of sound mind and good understanding legally, testifying that there is no god but Allah, alone with no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, that ‘Isa (Jesus) is the servant and Messenger of Allah, and His Word which He communicated to Maryam (Mary), and a spirit from Him; and that Paradise is true, and Hellfire is true, and that the Hour is certain to come, with no doubt therein, and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves.

I advise my family, should the calamity of death befall me, to adopt patience, contentment, and submission.

I advise them not to hold mourning gatherings and assemblies specific to condolences and to adhere to the Sunnah instead.

And I advise them with what Abraham enjoined upon his children and Jacob. {“O my children, Allah has chosen for you this religion; so do not die except as Muslims.”}

I also advise them to fear Allah Almighty and be mindful of Him in private and public, to observe the limits set by Allah Almighty, to comply with His commandments, to avoid His prohibitions, and to observe prayers regularly, for indeed, it is the foundation of the religion.

I advise them not to be divided or differ, to show mercy to one another, not to sever ties, to maintain kinship bonds, to safeguard their wealth, to observe the limits set by Allah Almighty regarding it, to trade only in what is lawful and good, to avoid Riba (usury) in both small and large amounts, and to cooperate among themselves in matters that ensure the well-being of their religion and worldly affairs.

In conclusion of this will, hopefully, you forgive me for any mistakes or shortcomings on my part, as no one is free from them, and Allah is the One Whose help is sought.
